Mounting the Augmenta Field Analyzer

Note:  Irrespective of the type of mount present (Standard / Extension), the Augmenta Field Analyzer is attached to the platform on the mounting bar in the exact same way.

What to do if pegs are too tight:

If your pegs are too tight back them out about ¼ of a turn. This can also be caused by possible over tightening of the nuts on the side of the tilting mechanism. If this is the case, you can also warp the mount.

Do NOT use a hammer for the abovementioned procedures, in order to avoid the risk of knocking the cameras out of alignment.

Installing

  1. The platform has a locking mechanism. Ensure that it is open by pulling on the small handle.

  2. Align the three pins found on the bottom of the device with the relevant holes on the mounting bar platform. Lower the device onto the platform. Gently press downwards and sideways so that the pins slide into position towards the lock.

  3. One of the pins should be engaged by the lock. If needed, gently push the handle inwards to the lock position after the Augmenta Field Analyzer is securely mounted. You should hear an auditable click when the pin engages the lock.
Ensure the lock is engaged by then trying to remove the device.

Checking and Adjusting

With the Augmenta Field Analyzer locked into position and securely mounted, it is necessary to ensure that it is perfectly horizontal.
Place a spirit level or relevant mobile/cell phone application on top of the device. Loosen the two M6 lock nuts on each side of the mounting bar and rotate the knob to adjust inclination. The Augmenta Field Analyzer should be horizontal (i.e., parallel / horizontal to the ground plane).
Once this is achieved, tighten the two M6 lock nuts.

Removal

Before removing the device from its platform, make sure that it has been powered off (the power switch is on the side of the device) and that all cables are disconnected.
Pull the lock handle while gently pressing the device sideways so the holding pin slides out of the lock. It can then be lifted off the mounting bar platform.
