NPK allows Augmenta VRAClosed Variable Rate Application utilizes a prescription (Rx) map for a given field and product to automatically adjust the rate of application based upon the target rate zones within the field. The .shp, .shx, and .dbf files required to create a shapefile prescription map must be in a polygon shape format that complies with the ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) shapefile specifications and must also be in the WGS (World Geodetic System) 84 datum., by zone, via a VTClosed A Universal Terminal (formerly Virtual Terminal) is an electronic display or console capable of interfacing with ECUs on an ISOBUS network./Monitor controlled implement or when an Augmenta Retrofit Kit has been installed to actuate older implements or self-propelled spreaders/sprayers so they can carry out VRA operations.
Press the Operation field and select NPK from the pop-up menu. The Fixed Rate/ Prescription MapClosed Variable Rate Application utilizes a prescription (Rx) map for a given field and product to automatically adjust the rate of application based upon the target rate zones within the field. The .shp, .shx, and .dbf files required to create a shapefile prescription map must be in a polygon shape format that complies with the ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) shapefile specifications and must also be in the WGS (World Geodetic System) 84 datum. Operation menu will reappear displaying NPK in the Operation field box. Three other parameters need to be configured now; Crop Type, Agrochemical and Field. Select the Crop Type field box and choose the appropriate option from the pull-down menu. Select the Agrochemical field and a list of commonly used fertilizer types will appear in the Fertilizer pop-up menu. Scroll up and down to find the appropriate fertilizer type, then choose yours. If the fertilizer you intend to apply is not listed, you have the option of creating your own. Press the Create New Fertilizer button and the Create Fertilizer menu will appear. Select the Fertilizer name field box. The keyboard will appear. Type in a new name of your fertilizer, then press the return key. Use the sliders to specify the Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium composition of the fertilizer you want to apply.

Note:  When NPK functionality is used, the external recommendation (i.e., created independently from the Augmenta Field Analyzer) must consider the actual percentage of each nutrient in the fertilizer blend. For example, if 100 units of N are prescribed via the uploaded shape- file and the fertilizer product is entered as 50% N, then 200 units of product will be applied.

To ensure optimal operation, the correct values must be specified here. If unsure, please consult the agrochemical producer or your agronomist to confirm the chemical composition of the fertilizer you want to apply. When finished press the green checkmark in the lower right corner of the screen. If you do not wish to store your newly created fertilizer, press the red X icon. The Fixed Rate/Prescription Map Operation menu will reappear. Select Agrochemical and scroll in the pop-up menu list to find your newly created fertilizer. Select it and you will be returned to the Fixed Rate/Prescription Map Operation menu. The Field parameter allows the uploading of shapefiles to the tablet from the Augmenta Web Portal. These are prescription maps which instruct the Augmenta System to control VRA in accordance with the contained data.The shapefiles need to be uploaded to the Augmenta Web Portal prior to being downloaded to the Augmenta Tablet.

To choose a shapefileClosed A shapefile is a vector format consisting of a .shp, .shx, and .dbf file and is used to store geospacial data and information such as field boundaries, product application coverage, and waypoints., press the download button . The Shapefiles Management list will appear. Press the file name to choose the desired shapefile.

Note:  If the shapefile you wish to use is not listed, check that it was previously uploaded to the Augmenta Web Portal.

Press the green download button.

Now that you have chosen a shapefile, it must be assigned to a field. From the Fixed Rate/Prescription Map Operation menu, press Select in the Field field box. The Fixed Rate/Prescription Map Operation menu should be like this.\

When all parameters have been set, press the green checkmark in the lower right corner of the screen. Press the red X icon if you want to make further changes. Then press the green checkmark to proceed. The Augmenta Tablet will now show the Application Run Screen. You are now ready to begin a NPK operation.
