Master Switch Configuration
Raven field computers can utilize a physical or on-screen master switch which can be configured within the field computer software.
Configure the Master Switch
To configure the master switch:
-
Select Settings on the bottom left of the Home screen. The Settings Menu will open.
- Select Master Switch on the Settings menu. The Master Switch Control Configuration window will open.
- If desired, select the REQUIRE ALL ON checkbox. This requires all selected inputs to be on for the Master Switch to be on. Otherwise only one selected input needs to be on.
- Select the most appropriate option:
Note: By default the On-Screen checkbox is selected.
Aux Input - Select this checkbox if there is a wired switch to the CRX Aux Input wire to act as a master switch.
AccuBoom™ - Select this checkbox if there is a wired switch on the AccuBoom™ cabling orange wire to act as a master switch.
Steering - Select this checkbox if you want the SmarTrax™ to record data only when steering is engaged.
On-Screen - Only selectable if all other options are not selected.
-
Select Accept to save the displayed settings and return to the Settings menu.
Configure the Master Switch Options
To configure ROS master switch options:
Note: The master switch module will not be available if a boom speed node or other switch hardware (e.g. Raven Switch Box or SwitchPro) is detected on the CANbus.
-
Select the Settings icon on the bottom right of the screen. The Settings Menu will open.
-
Select the Master Switch module.
-
Select the option necessary and best suited for implement control:
-
On-Screen Master Switch - Select this option to allow the operator to use an on-screen master switch widget to toggle the implement status. With this option selected, the operator will need to add the master switch widget to the guidance display in order to toggle coverage history on or off during field operations.
Note: The on-screen master switch is only capable of toggling coverage for a single section or full implement. Review Add Widgets to a Screen Layout for assistance with setting up and adding widgets to the guidance display for field operations.
-
Remote Master Switch - Select this option if a remote master or proximity switch is connected to the “Remote Switch” connector on the chassis cable. Review the Raven CANbus System Installation Manual for additional information on installing the generation 1 interface or generation 2 chassis cable platforms.
