On-Screen Switch Box Configuration
The on-screen switch box option provides an options to control implement status right on the field computer display. This option may be preferable for equipment without existing switches or when a physical switch box is impractical or undesirable for operations.
Note: The on-screen switch box must be configured prior to adding the widget to the run screen for use during in-field operations.
Note: Refer to Configure Widget Layouts for additional assistance with adding the widgets to the operation screen of the field computer.
Configure On-Screen Switch Box
To configure the switchbox from the widget:
-
Select and hold the Switchbox widget. The widget settings window will open.
- Select Settings. The Switchbox Settings screen will open.
- Select the desired implements to use with the switchbox(es).
- Enter the number of switches. This number can be no greater than the total number of sections. If the number of switches is less than the number of sections, the sections are assigned to the switches proportionally. Any remaining switches are assigned from the center out.
- If desired, select the Fence Row Nozzles checkbox to map the outside sections to the outside switches. The remaining sections will be reassigned proportionally to the remaining switches.
- Turn on the Master Switch.
Note: Refer to Configure the Master Switch for more information on the Master Switch.
-
Select the desired switch to turn it on or off. Press override (left-most button) to turn on or off all switches that are not already manually turned on. If a switch button is blue, the switch is being automatically controlled by the system. If a switch button is red, the switch is off. If a switch button is green, the switch is on.
Note: If switchboxes are present for multiple products, the boxes will stack in the order the corresponding products appear in when configuring a job.
Configure On-Screen Switch Box
Note: Additional hardware may be required to control individual sections using the on-screen switch box. Contact a local Raven dealer for additional assistance or ordering information.
Note: The on-screen switch box option will not be available if a RavenSwitch Pro™ or CAN Switch Box is detected on the CANbus.
To configure the switch box:
-
Select the Settings icon on the bottom right of the screen. The Settings Menu will open.
-
Select the On-Screen Switch Box module.
Note: If the on-screen switch box has been previously configured, a summary of the switch box assignments will be displayed.
-
Select the Edit icon.
-
Select the On-Screen Switch Box tab.
-
Select the number of switches value and use the on-screen keypad to enter the desired number of switches to control implement section functions.
-
If desired, select the section labels in the lower portion of the on-screen switch box tab to customize the switch box labels displayed during field operations.
-
To automatically assign sections to configured switches, select the Auto-Map Sections button in the lower, right corner of the display. This button will only be available if the number of configured implement sections matches the number of switches.
Note: Verify the section assignments before starting an actual field operation with the automatic section assignments.
-
To manually change assignments, select the Switch Assignments tab.
-
Select a switch function in the upper portion of the Assignments tab.
-
Review all implement sections currently assigned to the on-screen switch function.
-
To change switch assignments, select the Change Assignment button. Only unassigned sections will be displayed on the section assignment screen for the selected switch. To reassign a section to a different switch function, the section must first be unassigned from the current switch.
