Note: The settings and options displayed on the right side of the Differential Differential Global Positioning System is an enhancement to standard GNSS/GPS messages to provide better position accuracy. Settings prompt will vary based upon the selected differential Differential Global Positioning System is an enhancement to standard GNSS/GPS messages to provide better position accuracy. type. Refer to the descriptions below for additional information and refer to the definitions section for each specific correction type for additional assistance with settings and options.
For areas with limited availability of differential Differential Global Positioning System is an enhancement to standard GNSS/GPS messages to provide better position accuracy. correction sources (e.g. SBAS, OmniSTAR, etc.), the ROS device may offer Autonomous GL1DE as an autonomous GPS correction source. In Gl1de only mode, ROS will use GPS satellites to locate the vehicle position within 20 in [50 cm].
Note: No additional settings or features are available for the Autonomous GL1DE correction type. Refer to the specific ROS device manual or contact a local Raven dealer for more information on capabilities of a specific ROS device or display.
The Real-Time Kinematic (RTK Real-time Kinematic) correction type uses a Slingshot® connected device, a Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) network, or a traditional base station system for a position solution. These systems use a ground reference station to provide highly accurate corrections.
Note: The RTK Real-time Kinematic option will be displayed only after an RTK Real-time Kinematic authorization key is entered using the procedure listed at Unlock DGPS Receiver Features in ROS. Contact a local Raven dealer to obtain the authorization code or for more information on the Slingshot® RTK Real-time Kinematic services.
Refer to RTK for additional information on available settings or options available for the RTK Real-time Kinematic correction type.
The GS correction service is a satellite based subscription service providing position solutions using GPS and GLONASS Global Navigation Satellite System satellite constellations and using a Precise Point Positioning (PPP) technique to remove atmospheric errors to determine a position solution. Note: Refer to GS-Satellite for additional information on available settings or options available for the GS-Satellite option.
The Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) option utilizes the available Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) or European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) correction signals. These common correction services are available free for use in several regions and is the default correction source if available on the selected receiver.
Touch the drop-down list and select a WAAS or EGNOS satellite Pseudo-Random Number (PRN Pseudo-Random Number) to manually select the differential Differential Global Positioning System is an enhancement to standard GNSS/GPS messages to provide better position accuracy. satellite which provides the best coverage for the operation area if desired. Selecting a PRN Pseudo-Random Number from the list locks the correction signal to the selected satellite. If the Auto is selected, the receiver will scan and automatically set the PRN Pseudo-Random Number throughout an operation.
The OmniSTAR correction source offers a subscription based position service with various accuracy levels to match budget and operation needs. Refer to the OmniSTAR web site for additional subscription or purchasing information.
Refer to OmniSTAR for additional information on available settings or options available when using a compatible receiver with the OmniSTAR correction type.
Note: ROS devices with internal GPS serial numbers higher than BFN1344xxxx are not compatible with OmniSTAR correction services. See GPS Information Tab for assistance with verifying the serial number of the receiver. Contact a local Raven dealer for information on correction services available for ROS devices with newer receivers or for additional assistance. All integrated GPS receivers can be upgraded to GS corrections capability.
If the ROS device supported receiver is capable of using the GLONASS Global Navigation Satellite System satellite constellation, this mode will be displayed in the lower, left corner of the Differential Differential Global Positioning System is an enhancement to standard GNSS/GPS messages to provide better position accuracy. Settings tab.
The optional GLONASS Global Navigation Satellite System (Global Navigation Satellite System) satellite constellation may be unlocked to increase the number of satellites visible at any given time. This feature may help to improve satellite coverage or reduce HDOP Horizontal Dilution of Precision issues during field operations.
Once unlocked, the optional GLONASS Global Navigation Satellite System mode will display the following status indicator when this feature is being used in the current position solution.
