USB Import Manager
The USB Import Manager utilities allow the machine operator to select and import the following file types from a USB flash drive connected to the ROS device:
Grower, Farm, Field Folder Structure

Note: The USB manager only displays file types recolonized and used with the ROS device. Other file formats or types may not be transferred to the ROS device using the USB Manager.
To import grower, farm, field (GFF Grower, Farm, Field) folder information from a USB flash drive:

Insert a USB flash drive used with the ROS device and containing the folder structure and files to be imported.

Select the Administrator Panel icon in the top left corner of the display.
-
Select the USB drop-down and select the connected USB flash drive from which to import files.
-
Select the File Type drop-down and select the GFF Grower, Farm, Field Folder Structure option.
Note: Only one file type may be imported at a time. Perform the import procedure multiple times in order to import multiple file types.

Select the next button on the USB manager tab. The USB flash drive and folder structure will display.

Use the displayed browser to locate the Grower folder within the GFF Grower, Farm, Field folder structure to be imported.
Note: When importing the GFF Grower, Farm, Field folder structure, only select to the “Grower” folder level of the GFF Grower, Farm, Field folder structure. The ROS device will automatically transfer the folder information contained within the grower folder to complete the GFF Grower, Farm, Field structure. If farm or field folders are selected, the GFF Grower, Farm, Field folder structure will be incorrect when imported to the ROS device.

With the grower file selected, select one of the following import actions:

Copy - Create a duplicate of the selected information on the destination to be selected.

Move - Export the selected information to the destination to be selected and remove the information from the ROS device.
The Import Files will display.

Verify imported files list is correct. If the list requires further configuration, select the Cancel button to return to the USB Manager tab.

Select the Import button to begin the file transfer process.
Review Install CANbus or ISObus Firmware Updates in ROS for additional information on downloading and applying updates to Raven CANbus hardware.
Note: Any node firmware updates copied or moved to the ROS device will be saved on the device until deleting using the file maintenance feature. Refer to Delete Files for assistance with deleting node update files from the ROS device.
To import CAN node firmware updates from a USB flash drive:

Insert a USB flash drive used with the ROS device and containing the CAN node updates.

Select the Administrator Panel icon in the top left corner of the display.
- Select the File Manager utility.
- Select the USB Manager tab.

Select the USB drop-down and select the connected USB flash drive from which to import files.

Select the File Type drop-down and select the Node Update option.
-
Select the Next button on the USB manager tab. The USB flash drive and folder structure will display.

Use the displayed browser to locate and select the canupload or ISOUpload folder downloaded from the Raven web site. Node update files currently stored on the USB flash drive will be displayed in the lower portion of the USB manager tab.
Note: Review Install CANbus or ISObus Firmware Updates in ROS for additional information on downloading and applying updates to Raven CANbus hardware.

Select the Select All button at the top of the file list to import all node updates from the USB flash drive. Node updates may be removed or deleted after the CANbus hardware update process has been completed. Alternatively, select the box displayed to the left of the node update file name to import only a specific node update if the file name is known.

With at least one CAN node update file selected, select one of the following import actions:

Copy - Create a duplicate of the selected information on the destination to be selected.

Move - Export the selected information to the destination to be selected and remove the information from the ROS device.
The Import Files prompt will display.

Verify the list of files to be imported is correct. If the list requires further configuration, select the Cancel button to return to the USB Manager tab.

Select the Import button to begin the file transfer process.
Follow the procedure below to import job files saved or exported as a job data package (.jdp). To import a .jdp file from a USB flash drive:
Note: Jobs may also be imported via a Slingshot® Archive (.ssa) file type. Refer to Import a Slingshot® Archive for assistance importing this file type.

Insert the USB flash drive with the job profile.

Select the Administrator Panel icon in the top left corner of the display.
- Select the USB Manager tab.

Select the USB drop-down and select the connected USB flash drive from which to import files.

Select the File Type drop-down and select the Jobs option.
Note: Only one file type may be imported at a time. Perform the import procedure multiple times in order to import multiple file types.

Select the Next button. The USB flash drive and folder structure will display.

Use the browser to locate and select the Jobs folder which contains the desired .jdp files. Job files currently stored on the USB flash drive will be found within the GFF Grower, Farm, Field folder structure and are displayed in the lower portion of the USB manager tab.

Select the box displayed to the left of the listed file names to select specific files to import. Alternatively, select the Select All option at the top of the file list to select all files currently displayed.

With at least one job file selected, select one of the following import actions:

Copy - Create a duplicate of the selected information on the destination to be selected.

Move - Export the selected information to the destination to be selected and remove the information from the ROS device.
The Import Files prompt will display.

Verify the list of files is correct. If the list requires further configuration, select the Cancel button to return to the USB Manager tab.

Select the Import button to begin the file transfer process.
To import a Slingshot® Archive (.ssa) file from a USB flash drive:

Insert the USB flash drive containing the Slingshot® Archive file.

Select the Administrator Panel icon in the top left corner of the display.
- Select the USB Manager tab.

Select the USB drop-down and select the connected USB flash drive from which to import files.

Select the File Type drop-down and select the Slingshot® Archive option.
Note: Only one file type may be imported at a time. Perform the input procedure multiple times in order to import multiple file types.

Select the Next button. The USB flash drive and folder structure will display.

Use the browser to locate and select the slingshotArchives Slingshot® Archive files currently stored on the USB flash drive will be displayed in the lower portion of the USB manager tab.

Select the box displayed to the left of the listed file names to select specific files to import. Alternatively, select the Select All option at the top of the file list to select all files currently displayed.

With at least one file selected, select one of the following import actions:

Note: Prescription maps may also be imported via a Slingshot® Archive (.ssa) file type. Refer to Refer Import a Slingshot® Archive for assistance importing this file type. If working in a cloud job, prescription maps loaded locally will automatically share with other field computers in the same cloud job.
To import a prescription or Rx map Variable Rate Application utilizes a prescription (Rx) map for a given field and product to automatically adjust the rate of application based upon the target rate zones within the field. The .shp, .shx, and .dbf files required to create a shapefile prescription map must be in a polygon shape format that complies with the ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) shapefile specifications and must also be in the WGS (World Geodetic System) 84 datum. from a USB flash drive:

Note: Only one file type may be imported at a time. Perform the input procedure multiple times in order to import multiple file types.

Select Next. The USB flash drive and folder structure will display.

Use the browser displayed to locate and select the RxMaps folder which contains the map to be imported. Select the Administrator Panel icon in the top left corner of the display.
- Select the USB Manager tab.

Select the USB drop-down and select the connected USB flash drive from which to import files.

Select the file type drop-down and select the Scout Group option.

Select the specific feature type in the scout groups category to import individual scout group features (e.g. field boundaries, flags, lines, and zones) independently.
Note: Only one file type may be imported at a time. Perform the input procedure multiple times in order to import multiple file types.

Select Next. The USB flash drive and folder structure will display.

Use the browser displayed to locate and select the scoutRoot folder which contains the scout group to be imported. Scout group files currently stored on the USB flash drive will be found within the GFF Grower, Farm, Field folder structure and are displayed in the lower portion of the USB manager tab.

Select the box displayed to the left of the listed file names to select specific files to import. Alternatively, select the Select All option at the top of the file list to select all files currently displayed.

With at least one file selected, select one of the following import actions:

Note: When importing a Field Boundary or Zone not created on a Viper® 4+ (ROS), the user must assign a Scout Group Name for all features.

The import ISO TASKDATA section provides options to import data from Slingshot® or a USB stick. This information can be GFF Grower, Farm, Field data or field boundaries.
