Import an ECU Profile

CRX allows the user to move ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profiles to and from ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit devices, such as RS1™, SC1™, or TC1™ devices.

Note:  An ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile must be stored locally on the CRX device. Refer to Copy a File for assistance with copying an ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile from a USB device to a CRX device.

After copying an ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile to the CRX:

  1. Select Settings on the bottom left of the Home screen. The Settings menu will open.
  2. Select File Manager on the Settings menu. The File Management window will open.
  3. Select Local from the left-most drop-down.

    Note:  If an ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile is saved to a USB, the profile must first be copied to the local CRX device. See Copy a File for more information on copying a file.

  4. Navigate to and select ECUProfile.

  5. Select the desired file from the cell to the right.

  6. Select Copy near the bottom of the screen. The Select Destination dialog window will open.

  7. Select the desired device from the drop-down menu and select Accept.

  8. Select one of the five profile slots to import the ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile. Selecting a profile slot that currently has an ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile will overwrite the original ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile.

    Note:  The Accept option will not be available if a profile slot is not selected or if the imported profile has the same name as an exiting profile. The user may select the existing profile of the same name to overwrite the existing profile.

  9. If desired, or if a new profile has the same name as an existing profile, select the namefield and edit the new profile name with the on-screen keyboard.

  10. Select Accept near the bottom of the screen to save the displayed settings and return to the Settings menu.

    Note:  The ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit device will reset.

After connecting an ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit device to the CRX:

  1. Select Settings on the bottom left of the Home screen. The Settings menu will open.
  2. Select File Manager on the Settings menu. The File Management window will open.
  3. Select the ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit device from the left-most drop-down.

    Note:  In the example below, the ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit device is an RS1™ that is named RS1-101008. Names of ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit devices will vary.

  4. Navigate to and select ECUProfile.

  5. Select the desired file from the cell to the right.

  6. Select Copy near the bottom of the screen and select Accept in the pop-up window.

    Note:  Multiple profiles from the same ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit device cannot have the same name.

  7. If an ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile with the same name and from the same ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit device is imported to CRX, the Overwrite Profile window will open.

  8. Select Accept in the window to overwrite the existing ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile on the CRX device or select Cancel to abort the importation process.

    Note:  ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profiles from different ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit devices can have the same name.

  9. The screen will return to the Local file view and the imported ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile will be available. The ECUClosed Electronic Control Unit profile will include details that indicate the original source and the time of importation instead of GFFClosed Grower, Farm, Field information.

  10. Select Accept near the bottom of the screen to save the displayed settings and return to the Settings menu.
