Machine Preparation

Note:  Before the OMNiDRIVE™ system can be fully installed or provisioned, a Case IH technician will be required to install an autonomy unlock and perform a suspension calibration. Contact a local CNHi dealer for additional information and assistance.

  1. Park tractor on a known level surface.

    warning

The implement or machine must remain stationary and switched off with booms or implement sections unfolded and supported during installation or maintenance.

Note:  Bring the tractor to a gradual stop. Stopping slowly helps prevent the self-adjusting suspension and tractor cab from activating and placing the tractor at an unlevel position or angle. It is recommended not to start or move the tractor until the installation of the OMNiDRIVE™ system is complete.

  2. Lower the 3-point hitch all the way down to provide easier access to the rear of the tractor during the installation.
  3. Locate and toggle the battery disconnect off.

  4. Remove the rear access panel from the rear of the tractor cab.

  5. Remove the rubber floor mat to provide easier access for routing and connecting cables during the OMNiDRIVE™ installation.
  6. Remove the panels from the left and right sides of the steering column.

  7. Note:  Removing the vent ducts from the left and right sides of the steering column may result in easier access to the clutch and brake connections.

  8. Remove the rear trim panel behind the operator seat.

Note:  This panel will not be reinstalled with the OMNiDRIVE™ system. It may be necessary to remove the two bolts for the window latch to make removing the panel easier.

  9. Remove the fuse panel cover located in the floor behind the operator seat.

  10. Carefully lift the climate control panel at the right, rear corner of the tractor cab. Carefully lift the side closest to the operator seat first, then slide the panel toward the seat to release the other side of the panel.
  11. Note:  Remove the climate control knobs and check for retaining screws which may need to be removed to allow the panel to be removed from the console.

  12. Proceed to the Install the Bypass Switch and FNRP Breakout Cable topic to begin the OMNiDRIVE™ system installation.
