Daily Walk-Around and Inspection
The following inspections are required daily while operating the OMNiDRIVE™ tractor in autonomous mode.
Note: An operator will not be in the cab of the tractor to monitor the tractor or grain cart throughout the day. Always perform an equipment inspection before starting autonomous operations. Never assume that the tractor, grain cart, or safety systems are ready to operate without performing an inspection.
Tractor
- Engage the Lockout Switch on the tractor while performing daily inspections.
- Check fuel and other fluid levels as recommended by the tractor manufacturer.
- Inspect wheels.
- check tire pressure or inspect tracks and service as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Inspect the camera and radar perception systems;
- wipe off the QR plate.
- ensure the radar sensor is clear of debris.
- wipe off the lens on each of the perception cameras.
- check that camera brackets are secure and undamaged.
- suspend autonomous operation and repair any brackets as needed.
- Test the E-Stops.
- When leaving the tractor;
- Ensure all windows are latched shut.
- Set the climate control system to maintain a temperature between 70° and 75° F [21° - 24° C].
- Close and confirm that the door is latched securely.
- Release the lockout switch to allow the controlling combine
The combine that may assign paths to, and may sync with, the OMNiDRIVE™ tractor. One controlling combine is required for all OMNiDRIVE™ locations. to send commands to the autonomous OMNiDRIVE™ tractor.
Grain Cart
- Inspect wheels.
- Check tire pressure or inspect tracks and service as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Open any tarps or covers so the grain wagon is ready to receive grain.
- Empty the grain cart.
- Fold the auger into transport position.
- Close the auger gate.
