Auto-Steering Home Page Overview

The Auto-Steering Home page offers auto-steer system and GNSSClosed Global Navigation Satellite System correction status information as well as quick access to settings to tune the system response to steering inputs during in-field operations.

Auto-Steering Status Indicator

The color of the steering wheel icon in the upper left-hand corner indicates the status of the steering system. The following are common steering status or mode messages which may be encountered while the system is operating:

Tractor Follow
Active diagnostic and troubleshooting codes are present. The steering system cannot be engaged in this state.
Active diagnostic and troubleshooting codes are present. The steering system can be engaged in this state, but performance quality may be degraded.
No active diagnostic or troubleshooting codes are present. The steering system is ready to be engaged. Both the steering wheel icon and the GPS icon must be green in order to engage the steering system.
Steering is engaged, with no active diagnostic or troubleshooting codes present in the steering system.
Steering is engaged, but with a non-critical diagnostic or troubleshooting code.

Off-Line Indicator

During in-field operations, the off-line indicator displays the distance and direction to a set guidance line or path which is shown on the guidance page display. This indicator is shown at the top, center of the auto-steer Home page.

GNSS (GPS) Status

The color of the satellite icon in the upper right-hand corner indicates the status of GNSS corrections for the auto-steer system: The following are common correction status or mode messages which may be encountered while the system is operating:

Display Description
No GNSS correction information is detected by the auto-steering system.
GNSS is not converged or GNSS corrections are converged and a DTCClosed Diagnostic Trouble Code warning condition is present. The steering system may be engaged in this state, but performance may be degraded.
GNSS is converged and no active diagnostic or troubleshooting codes are present.
GNSS RTKClosed Real-time Kinematic-L solutions are being used for field guidance. DTC codes may or may not be present.

Auto-Steer Tuning Settings

The main area of the Auto-Steering Home page displays settings and adjustments which may be used during normal operation to adjust or tune the system. See Tuning Settings for assistance with the specific settings for the auto-steering application for which the system is configured.
