Initial Machine Setup
First-time machine configuration on Raven field computers is a streamlined version of the regular machine configuration procedure. This allows a machine to be quickly added to a brand new field computer.
Note: This topic picks up from the procedure in Initial Setup. See Initial Setup before proceeding.
Quick Start Machine Configuration
Note: The Quick Start option only allows the operator to create basic guidance lines. For additional functionality, select the Create Detailed Machine Configuration option during the initial set up and see Configure a New Machine.
- Select Quick Start. The Machine Configuration: Quick Start window will be displayed.
- Enter the desired measurement in feet or meters in the Guidance Width field.
Note: The Guidance Width is the width of the implement and that will be “painted” to display previous area covered during a field operation. This measurement is used for creating swath widths for guidance lines and is crucial for most field applications.
- Select Accept. The End User License Agreement prompt will be displayed.
- Review the information in the End User License Agreement prompt and select OK. The Warning prompt will be displayed.
- Read and acknowledge the information in the Warning prompt. The Home screen (see Home Page Overview) will be displayed and the CRX system is ready for in-field operations.
Note: Select Settings at any time it is visible to return to the Settings menu. See CRX Settings Menu.

Verify any multi-channel nodes are configured correctly for the control channels necessary for the equipment during field operations. Refer to Readdressing Control Channels and Multi-Channel Node or ECU Configuration for details on readdressing product control nodes and configuring multi-channel control nodes.
-
Finish the machine configuration setup. Refer to the Machine Configuration Overview for details on setting up and completing the machine configurations.
-
If desired, enter product information to set up a product configuration during the initial set up. Refer to the ROS Product Control Calibration and Operation manual for additional assistance with configuring product profiles.
